The BROWN THRASHERS which I reported about a week or so ago are already
building their nest. I saw one of them with a mouth full of dried grass and
green moss yesterday. While outdoors I also heard the YELLOW-THROATED
WARBLER singing. It is absolutely beautiful all around me on both sides of
the creek and hollow. The REDBUD trees have very lush limbfulls of blooms. I
picked a few for a bouquet in the house. The following are covering the
mountainside: GOLDEN RAGWORT, WILD SWEET WILLIAMS, TROUT LILIES, SPRING
BEAUTIES, BVLUE-EYED MARYS, ETC., ETC. Sorry, birder, I just had to mention
the wildflowers which surround us with delight.
Cheers,
Happy Springtime,
