I spent Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in the red river gorge, and heard more
FOS birds. Koomer trail/Hidden Arch trail/ Swift camp creek: lots of
black-and-whites and black-throated greens have arrived and are singing loud.
Lots of Yellow-throated warblers, Louisiana water thrushes, and northern
parulas in the stream bottoms as well. Lots of pine warblers, and I think I
heard 1 worm eating as well.
I also spent some time this week in parts of northern Menifee county and Rowan
county near cave run lake: white eyed vireos, broad-wing Hawks, Louisiana
waterthrushes, northern parulas, prairie warblers, BG gnatcatchers, and tree
swallows have arrived. Lots of black-and-whites, pines, yellow-throated
warblers, and blue-headed vireos singing too. Saw and heard a few bald eagles
and osprey around cave run lake.
