Decided to go out to Cave Hill Cemetary and catch some late winter birds before
the warmth of spring pushes them North. I had a good day out.
Cave Hill Cemetary 10:00am-3:30 pm
Canada Goose
Mallard
Black-Crowned Night-Heron-2 first time ever and first of year
Sharp-sh. Hawk
Cooper's hawk
Mourning Dove
Belted Kingfisher
Red-bl. Woodpecker
Yellow-bl. Sapsucker-4 or more most abundant woodpecker below Downy
Downy Woodpecker
NO. Flicker-2 first seen in awhile
Eastern Phoebe- 3 FOY
Blue Jay
Carolina Chickadee
Tufted Titmouse
Red-br. Nuthatch-2
White-br. Nuthatch
Brown Creeper-2
Carolina Wren
Golden-cr. Kinglet-2 one displaying central crown feathers
Am. Robin
No. Mockingbird
Brown Thrasher-3
Euro. Starling
Yellow-rp. Warbler-3 back after a long absence
Pine Warbler-1
Field Sp.-4
Fox Sp.- 6+ singing from every direction around the Baxter entrance first time
I have heard the song in 10 years-interesting cross of finch-like and sparrow
tones

Dark-eyed Junco-30+ in scattered flocks one small flock contained what appeared
to be a 1st year "Oregon" Junco but will have to study a little more online,
unless there was some abberation of plumage there did appear to be pretty good
clean demarcation between gray hood and light brown sides

Brown-hd. Cowbird-3
House Finch
Am. Goldfinch- 2 only
