Today I visited a yard in western Spencer County where an unidentified hummer
has been coming since the third week of October.
It turned out to be a tardy adult male Ruby-throated.

A hummer banding listserv of which I am a member has begun buzzing with reports
of new activity across mostly the northeastern US, so hopefully we'll have a
few interesting things turn up soon.
