Hi all, I decided to stop by the fish hatchery this evening hoping for shorebirds coming in ahead of the storms. There are now about 10 ponds drained or draining, and a good mix of birds on a few of them. The best bird was a Buff-breasted Sandpiper on pond 15, but the majority of the birds were on ponds closer to oxbow lake. 1 Little Blue Heron still present, along with 3 Great Egret, a few Great Blue Heron, and numerous Green Heron.
