I had noticed that water level at Jacobsen park in Lexington was running quite low so I decided to drop in for a short while to check whether there was much shorebird habitat. There is a lot of mud showing. The first quick visit produced a few Kildeer and the briefest glimpse of a Least Tern. I went back later and confirmed the presence of a single Least Tern along with about a dozen more Kildeer, a Great Egret and a Green Heron almost choking on a fish.
