CKAS had our second spring walk on Saturday out at Dupree Nature Preserve on
the Kentucky River Palisades. It was a beautiful crisp morning with birds
singing and spring flowers and trees blooming. Ended the morning with 22
species after finding a nice mixed feeding flock. Only spring migrant we got
were Blue-gray Gnatcatchers. Even saw a "bear" in the woods (see photos) Our
next scheduled walk is Saturday, April 16th at the Lexington Cemetery. Check
the web site for details.
