A few nice warbler waves this morning at Caperton Swamp on River Road in
Louisville.

Here are some notable observations, along with counts:

1 Yellow-bellied Flycatcher - great look at a beautifully marked bird,
with considerable yellowish wash (including throat) and strong "vest." Did
not hear a call, so hope I'm right about the ID. It did not stay in sight
long enough for a photo.

Vireos:

 1 Yellow-throated Vireo

 6 (!) Philadelphia Vireo

 3 Red-eyed Vireo

Surprised to find no Warbling Vireo. Studied the Philadelphia Vireos
closely, but they refused to turn into Warbling.

Warblers:

 1 Ovenbird

 4 (!) Golden-winged Warbler

 2 Black-and-White Warbler

 2 Tennessee Warbler

 3 Nashville Warbler

? Connecticut Warbler - 75% sure, but will not count. Saw it briefly and
incompletely. It was walking - not hopping - in dense undergrowth.

19 American Redstart

 2 Northern Parula

17 Magnolia Warbler

 6 Bay-breasted Warbler

13 Chestnut-sided Warbler

1 Palm Warbler (seen flying out over the river at the Falls of the Ohio)

 2 Yellow-throated Warbler

 2 Black-throated Green Warbler

Did not see any Wilson's Warblers, although usually reliable there this time
of year.

Falls: Got there after 11 a.m., so we probably lost birds in the heat waves.
Could not find the "Great White" Heron among the 75 Great Egrets. Also no
Buff-breasted Sandpiper, Ruddy Turnstone, etc. Couple of birds we called
Western Sandpipers at Wave Rock.
