Hi.. just was wondering what the range is for a Bald Eagle to fly?? I know that there are Bald Eagles at Cave Run and that is around 45 miles from me, give or take, or shorter as the crow flies.. Would it be possible to have one just flying over here in Greenup Co? The reason I ask, we were out in the stripmines looking for birds.. actually hoping the Kingfisher was back this year, when off to our left, flying the down the valley, was a Bald Eagle.. unless you can tell me what else might have a totally white head and dark body.. I can't remember when someone told me the Golden would be gone, I haven't seen it in more than a week..and actually.. I haven't seen the Harriers.. do they leave??? We have been watching them for quite a few months now and I honestly haven't seen the pair in more than a week. Anyway..thanks I did appreciate all the responses about the Bird Book.. I got the Stokes Beginners Book of Birds: Eastern Region..can't wait to get it next week. My grandson will love it. debi lucas greenup co. ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============== When posting on BIRDKY, please close posts with your first and last name and your address (city or county). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post on BIRDKY, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS website at http://www.biology.eku.edu/kos/default.htm * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS Photo Page to view photos of birds recently sighted in Kentucky: http://www.flickr.com/groups/kentucky_ornithological_society/pool/with/6722237361/ * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison.
