On my way back toward home, I stopped by on a lark to see if the PRFA was there
at the Louisville Water Tower, and it was!
It was perched on the orange and white power line structure, where Jamie Baker
saw it this morning. I spotted the bird on top of the tower, jumped out of my
still running car and got it in the binoculars for a moment or two, then it
flew toward the river.
I haven’t seen it come back yet, but it’s a good sign for KY birders that it
might stick around.
It’s astounding that there are *two* Prairie Falcons in the state right now.
