01 January 2005: At Petros Pond in Warren County late this afternoon were perhaps 150 to 200 Canada Geese, apparently the 6 Mute Swans from McElroy Lake, and 1 Greater White-fronted Goose. I looked for Cackling Geese. I found none. There were some smallish geese present and it could be that I just do not yet know what to look for. When I finally tick that bird, I want to be sure I am right. I hate subtracting after finding an error. An additional flock of about 100 Canada Geese was observed about 2 minutes later flying towards Petros from the Bowling Green area That concludes this report.
