A male osprey arrived on the nest at the KY Env. Ed. Proj. (KEEP) Inc. camera
nest at Lake Barkley on Mar. 9. A lady in GA was the first person to e-mail
KEEP with the FOS sighting at the KEEP platform nest. This afternoon a lady
living at Cape Cod e-mailed that she spotted the male and female on the nest
together, the first time this season. This image is saved at the KEEP web site
if anyone would like to see the pair: http://keepky.org/ Hopefully the fish in
the male's grip will impress the female and nesting will begin soon. A lot of
road construction is presently taking place very near the land nest. Hopefully,
this work will be finished soon and the pair can put up with the noise etc. for
a while. The first egg arrived last nesting season on April 3 at about 1 pm.
