It was a picture book scene especially in the company of Hap's five year old
grand daughter who excitedly asked to be held up to the scope to view the nest
properly. Such fun to see a young child's curosity for something other than a
hand held screen. The census is in. They are a family of four. Two chicks
were stretching their necks above the nest accompanied by an adult. The adult
began to call, then flew off the nest. Another adult flew in with a fish. The
chicks did not bow their heads for prayer. Instead they kept staring at the
adult as if to say hurry up and cook dinner. It was a gratifying morning.
