I just Flickr posted a better photo of this bird than I took a few weeks ago.
She and her mate fledged a single baby this week and I found them in a Japanese
beetle-laced flowering plum tree, last evening. This was their second nesting
attempt (that I know of) and, considering the way the male is singing now, I
suspect they are considering a third attempt. It's not clear in this one, but
in some of the photos with a side view, I can see that her bill is stained from
feeding inky Japanese beetles.
