I've found that, in the spring before the juvenile Tree Swallows leave their
boxes, it's a good bet that, with a closer look, brown-appearing Swallows will
turn out to be a Rough-winged. This morning, one of each posed for photos, on
the wire in a similar location and in similar light. Flickr links follow. The
difference is pretty conspicuous in these photos, but they still are a
challenge for me when in flight.
