After our seven-Sparrow morning, I got to thinking that it would be
practically criminal to exclude Swamp and Savannah Sparrows because they’re too
shy to visit the feeders. So, at mid-afternoon, I put on a coat and hurried
out to the pond thicket to see if I could find some. Within about 10 minutes,
I found three Savannahs in the woodlot pasture and a Swamp, in the tall grass,
along the south-field edge.

Our first Tree Sparrow since 2018 joined a Fox, six Songs, three Fields, a
White-throated, five White-crowned and four Juncos, around our feeders, this
morning. A seven-Sparrow morning from the breakfast nook!
There have also been four Rusty Blackbirds among the many Red-wings, Grackles
and Cowbirds.
