Sad sight this morning: Beautiful adult male mourning warbler that had apparently run into the glass side of a building in downtown Louisville. I found him dead on the ground, beside the building that had presumably caused his death. The surrounding area is mostly buildings and concrete, so I wonder if he was just migrating through the area (not planning to land) and hit the building, or if he had stopped or was planning to stop somewhere nearby. ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============== The BIRDKY Mailing List requires you to sign your messages with first & last name, city, & state abbreviation. -------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx -------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the Kentucky Ornithological Society web site at http://www.biology.eku.edu/kos.htm * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison, Richmond, KY E-mail: gary.ritchison@xxxxxxx
