Joyce, Planting isn't what I'm doing. Quite the contrary. My father planted a few Multi-flora Roses in a fencerow about 60 years ago. By the time I was growing up, Pop realized he had made a mistake and frequently cast aspersions on the government employee who advised him to plant them. Can't use his exact wording, but it involved a wish that the guy who gave him the roses would stumble into a patch of them at night while naked. The Multi-flora Roses that I am placing by the food rocks as additional cover are roses that I have grubbed up by the roots specifically for this purpose. They are simply laying there and will be removed to a corner brush pile this spring when they are no longer needed. I've fought them my entire working life, but how would I keep busy in winter if I completely won? Frank On Jan 20, 2015, at 10:52 AM, Bender, Joyce (EEC) wrote: > Hello Frank.
