I observed awesome numbers of waterfowl on Cedar Creek Lake this afternoon. The
conditions were at best horrible, with rain, fog and poor visibility. Many
large rafts could not be identified because of the conditions...however I would
estimate I observed 500+ Common Loons...a mixed raft of about 1000+ contained
Buffleheads, and Horned Grebes and a few Ruddy Ducks. Another separate raft had
300+ Ruddy Ducks! Also observed were 50+ Redheads and a few scaup.
