The Clark's River NWR 7th MAPS session was run today. The cool weather made this session enjoyable, even the mosquitos were calmer. We processed 25 birds in 6 hours. Indigo Bunting and Blue-gray Gnatcatchers were the top species of the day. Followed by Kentucky and Prothonotary Warbler. Seven of the birds were recaptures and 4 were juveniles. A female American Redstart was a new species for our lab. We have processed 189 birds this season with one session left to go.
