18 birders joined me on a humid overcast morning at Cherokee Park.
32 species seen/heard were found. Highlights include a few Ruby-crowned
Kinglets and white-throated sparrows still singing away.
A flyover Broad-wingedHawk. First of Year (FOY) Wood Thrush, catbird, and
Great Crested Flycatcher.
6 warbler species including great looks at a gorgeous male Prothonotary Warbler
and cooperative male Northern Parula.
Warblers:
Yellow-rumped
Northern Parula
Yellow-throated Warbler
Black-throated Green (heard)
Nashville Warbler (heard)
Prothonotary Warbler

Meet and park at the bottom of Maple road located on the scenic loop of
Cherokee Park and by Nettleroth Bird Sanctuary.
I head my first of year (FOY) Warbling Vireo, Yellow Warbler, Common
Yellowthroat, and Rose-breasted Grosbeak this am in the park headed to work.
