16 birders joined me for a nice day of birding around Cherokee Park. Birding
quantity wasn't great however birding quality was.
Some great spotting by members of the group was greatly appreciated!!! Awesome
birding.
37 species were heard/ seen by the group with the following highlights.
Broad-winged Hawk
Barred owls- taking a bath and trying to catch things in the water
Hairy Woodpeckers- 6
Chimney Swifts
Summer tanager-2 m and f
Warbling vireo
Yellow-throated warbler
Hermit Thrush-great looks!!!
Wood Thrush- only seen by me
Good birding
