I am playing hooky from work today and I feel like I’m watching all of
Kentucky’s Cedar Waxwings, draining off to the south. We’re only about 3 miles
from the Tennessee state line and they all seem to be passing by here. I’ve
seen, at least, 10 flocks of ~10-50, zooming past on a SSW heading. I’ve
hurriedly counted 146, but I know that is conservative… likely more than 200.
I hope some of them stay on, because we’ve raised a load of holly berries for
winter feed.
