Fellow Kentucky Ornithological Society Members,
Our Fall Membership Meeting is fast approaching. I hope you have already marked
your calendars and reserved you rooms for September 14-16 at Pine Mountain
State Park. If not, please call Pine Mountain State Park at 606-337-3066 by
August 14, 2018 to reserve your room(s) for the September 14-16, 2018 weekend.
Use the Group Code 1690 when making the reservation. The room rate will be
$99.95 + taxes.
This email is to remind you of leadership opportunities and needs for our KOS.
Our officers are all volunteers who work to promote birding and bird
conservation in Kentucky. Details of officer positions can be found in our
By-Laws posted on the birdky.org web page. We welcome nominations from any
members who are interested is serving as an officer or in other positions on
committees, etc. Positions are listed below :
President
Vice President
Corresponding Secretary
Treasurer
Recording Secretary
Curator
Councillors
We are always seeking members who would be willing to serve on the KOS Board in
any of our positions, with immediate needs for the Councillor and the Recording
Secretary positions. You are welcome to express interest, make recommendations
or nominate yourself or other members of KOS for any of these positions. To do
so, please send an email to jdsole56@xxxxxxxxx as soon as possible. Nominations
from the floor will also be taken at our upcoming fall meeting.
Additionally, more help is always welcome for assistance on any of the
