I thought some of you coming to KOS might want to know of some of the
recent sightings around the Kentucky Dam area in addition to the Willets
that were seen today.
I had a Swainson's Warbler at Clarks River EERA in Benton yesterday. This
is the 3rd year that they have been present at this location. Hap Chambers
was able to band one last year, but this was a different bird. Here's a

I also had my FOS Yellow-Crowned Night-Heron at Cypress Creek yesterday.

There are still a few Lesser Black-backed Gulls hanging around the area.
Sledd Creek boat ramp or Kentucky Dam Marina is probably the best place to
find one, along with Caspian and Forster's Terns. There was a Laughing
Gull at the marina last week also, but I don't know if it's still around.
