The gates were open at the dams today. It didn't do much for gull watching since there weren't many gulls to watch. The number of Herring gulls seems to have increased but I couldn't find anything unusual at either dam. As usual for this time of year the number of ducks especially scaup on Barkley Lake is impressive.
