Jason Courter and myself birded a good deal around the Mammoth area the last two days. Not many passing through migrants (Nashville, Blue- winged in the woods, and a Blackburnian was reported this morning). Local breeders were in full force with several Kentucky, Cerulean, Black-and-white, Hooded, etc. Best birds were Acadian Flycatcher and Sharp-shinned Hawk.
We also stopped by Barren River in the afternoon and had both orioles, prothonotary, spotted sandpiper, palm warbler (3), and summer tanager. Two Osprey were also seen.
