Spent some time birding the trails at Camp Nelson in Jessamine County
Friday evening. Several species of grassland birds were singing on
territory including Bobolinks, Grasshopper and Henslow's Sparrows, and Blue
Grosbeaks. Could not locate the Loggerhead Shrikes. Wood Thrush and
Scarlet Tanager were abundant in the woods behind Camp Nelson.
