I talked to the landowner of the Union County site where I saw the Glossy Ibis last week. Fortunately for all the farmers in the area, 4 inches of rain fell there over the weekend; however, unfortunately for birders that has probably reduced the variety and number of shorebirds there. Also, he asked that if I was going to try to come back with a group that he'd prefer a week day. I told him I might try to get back out there on Friday (7th). Probably the best thing would be if anyone is interested in trying to make this, email me and I will iron out details late on Thursday. The area is a bit treacherous immediately after rain and a vehicle with relatively high clearance is advisable. Timing, where to meet, and carpooling might also be more efficient if I knew who all might be interested in this. So if you are interested, email me. bpb, Louisville ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============== When posting on BIRDKY, please close posts with your first and last name and your address (city or county). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post on BIRDKY, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS website at http://www.biology.eku.edu/kos/default.htm * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS Photo Page to view photos of birds recently sighted in Kentucky: http://www.flickr.com/groups/kentucky_ornithological_society/pool * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison.
