Les and I were having breakfast in our upstairs sunroom when we heard an
unusual sound in our yard. Lo and behold: A GREAT BLUE HERON fly up the
hollow from the river to say hello. That "squawk" surely was different than
the songs of the nearby WOOD THRUSH and WOOD WARBLERS this morning. However,
we will take them all and enjoy!!
A literally "great" start to the day.
