The first year Glaucous Gull was seen below KY Dam Friday. Common Loons
were in breeding plumage and Osprey are on their nests. Yellow-throated, Pine
warblers and chipping sparrows seemed to be everywhere. Louisiana
waterthrush are bobbing along the creeks in LBL.
Great Egret, Great Blue Herons and over 1000 Double Crested Cormorants are
back on the breeding island on Lake Barkley.
The most amazing site for us was driving the trace and seeing the red buds
and dogwoods along the road. It is gorgeous right now.
The lake levels are reaching upward and shorebird habitat is disappearing.
