The number of snow geese in the fields of Fulton County was fantastic today. We estimated no less than 8,000 birds spread out over a few fields. The sight and sound of these birds heading North West at the end of the day was something to remember. Other birds seen included: 7 Ross's Goose 250 Greater-White Fronted Goose 200 Canada Goose 4 Northern Pintail 4 Hooded Merganser 3 Black Ducks 100 Mallards 2 American Wigeon 1 Green-winged Teal 20 Gadwall 10 Shoveler 3 Northern Harriers 4 Bald Eagles 2 Red Shouldered Hawks 3 Red Tailed Hawks 2 Loggerhead Shrike 1 Eastern Phoebe Horned Larks and many Kestrels.
