Just got in from out west (Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona) and
checked Freeman Lake (Elizabethtown-Hardin County) and it is completely
frozen over as of 8 am this morning. I didn’t see any wild ducks only a few
domestic mixes.
There was about 500 Canada Geese, 3 Snow Geese, 6 Greater White-fronted
Geese, and at least 8 Cackling Geese. They were so densely packed on the
ice it was hard to get a real good number on the cackling but I am
confident there were at least 8.
