Hi All, I filled up the feeders this week for the first time in weeks. Immediately little fellows (Carolina chickadees, tufted titmice, white-breasted nuthatches, downy woodpeckers, red-bellied woodpeckers, etc) started coming down from the woods and up from the creek. Even an EASTERN TOWHEE came down for a visit. The adults will probably be bringing the youngsters down any day. I have a ground feeding area on the bank behind our house which is great for them, but I haven't put any food out there yet because of all the tree cutting going on. I am thinking of relocating it because the "safe places" have been destroyed. Warblers are still passing through and there should be more as the next cool front moves through our area this weekend. Happy birding weekend to all.
