This morning Beckham Bird Club had a field trip to Deam Lake in Indiana which is about 20 miles north of Louisville.  We had a small flock of about 8 Red Crossbills in the pine trees near the boat ramp.  The group had only a fleeting look before they flew off.  Tom Becker was able to get a scope on one of the birds to verify that it was a crossbill.  If anyone goes looking and relocates them please let us know.
