I was at St. Anne's Convent in Melbourne today and there were 40 plus Pine Siskins, with over 30 on the ground at one time working the fallen hemlock cones.?There was a?nice variety of warblers present?including 1 Prairie Warbler, 2 Cape May Warblers, 2 Nashville Warblers, 5 Yellow-rumped Warblers, 1 Northern Parula and 1 Palm Warbler, as well as 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet. The first Cape May was a female seen gleaning in the?oak mast (in an oak adjacent to a spruce), the other was a male seen at a different spot working the buds on a Norway Spruce. Raptors were also well represented with 2 Red-shouldered Hawks, one Red-tailed Hawk, 1 Cooper's Hawk, 20 Black Vultures and 10 Turkey Vultures seen. Frank Renfrow Fort Thomas, KY
