In Cherokee Park today we came upon a Louisiana/Northern Waterthrush, and I
am not at all confident in my ability to distinguish those guys. If anyone
is willing to express an opinion, I've included some photos in the ebird
checklist:

It was foraging in the still water of the ephemeral pond in Nettleroth
rather than faster moving water of the creek. And I think it had streaking
on the throat. Both of those sort of point to Northern Waterthrush, but I'm
not sure.
There is also an interesting American Redstart in there.much more orange
than the usual yellow I associate with females. Is this just a very bright
female, or would immature males have this plumage this time of year?
And there's a photo of a Ruby-throated Hummingbird we caught building a
nest!
