Yesterday afternoon, June 27th, the family of Scissor-tailed Flycats was on
the west side of KY 453, just north of the nest site. The five young were
sitting conspicuously on the wires that parallel KY 453 and the parents
came back and forth periodically, bringing them food.
I THINK, but am not sure, that the property on that side of the highway is
more Vulcan Materials land and that's it's OK to wade out through the grass
to get a better look.
