Preston and others
The Peanut Delight suet cake continues to be the "hot ticket" with 2 RBGs often
willing to mine opposite sides of the little basket at the same time.
Has anyone had success feeding Grosbeaks with peanut butter? I may smear a
dollop on some tree bark near the sunflower feeders to see what happens.

Friends
Enjoying the bright colors of our current migrating visitors. Baltimore Orioles
arrived Saturday--the same date as last year--and have been taking grape jelly
ever since. I'm using red and orange jar tops to hold the jelly and notice that
they flip the tops or push them to the ground when empty. For the past 2 years
they have stayed with us for about 6 days.
Grosbeaks have been here since April 22nd. Their stays for 2020 and 2021 were
18 and 20 days respectively--so they are about halfway thru their usual visit.
Their lingering flock of 10 to 12 has caused me to get out 2 of the sunflower
feeders that I had already put away until the fall so they have 3 from which to
choose. By the way, they like the fresh Peanut Delight suet cake that went up
today.
Last but not least, Eastern Wood Peewee arrived and began chiming in today.
