An American Avocet was seen at Morgan's Pond this afternoon. The bird was feeding with a large number of other shorebirds. Almost all the shorebird species were the same ones reported by Brainard and Eddie on Saturday. I found a pair of Black-necked Stilts behind the truck stop and they were actively trying to lead me away from a patch of grass near a corn field. They probably had young hiding so I decided to leave them alone.
