I found Am. Coots (3) at the trap area of Pond Creek Marsh this morning. This is deepest into summer that I have seen them. I thought they had departed a couple of weeks ago. No Bald Eagles seen at the nest at Anderson Pond this morning. They were there this weekend. Saw 1 imm. at Hardy Slough today. Otherwise the doldrums of summer. Open water is getting extremely scarce here. Severe drought and a burn ban in this area. I have had a Yellow-throated Warbler in the vicinity of my home at the south edge of Henderson. I have heard it for a week, but never seen it.
