A quick stop mid to late morning at the causeway added 3 new birds to my year’s
list. 6 Wigeon on the ice’s edge and another in the muddy corner for close
inspection, a pair of Red-breasted Mergansers, and a male Pintail.
30 to 40 Canvasbacks, large number of Ruddies, both scaup, Ring-necked,
Redhead, Gadwalls, Common Goldeneye, and some other usuals were also observed.
Herring Gulls are still there.
