Andy Newman led us on an outing to Madison Co. on Saturday May 12. The group
ended up with 87 species, Andy had a few more, getting an earlier start than
the
rest of us. Highlights for me were the 21 species of warbler including good
looks at Kentucky and Louisiana Waterthrush, the calling Willow Flycatchers,
Henslow's Sparrow that Andy flushed up for us, lots of calling Grasshopper
Sparrows, Blue Grossbeaks, and a FOS Bobolink for me.
We started at Berea Forest and then did a quick drive around Stoney Creek
Subdivision and ended up at grasslands off of Duncannon Lane.
