I found the injured Sandhill that was first seen about 16 days ago at Maine
Chance UK farm. The bird was at the back of a cornfield at least a football
field length away (it is coming up on the Super Bowl).
I think the fact that this bird is still here confirms the seriousness of
the injury and the importance to give this bird lots of space so as not to
cause it stress or give it reason to fly.
I've added photos to the ones taken on the 13th. The new ones are good
enough for ID and that's about it. I included a non-zoomed, non-cropped
photo to show how far away I was from the Sandhill.
