Some area birders have been watching a Ruby-throated Hummingbird nest at
the Lexington Cemetery. There were two babies but now there is one. It is
unknown if one fledged with several days between the two or if some other
incident caused its disappearance. Below is a photo gallery of the
remaining baby who spent the day eating, preening, and flapping. I've also
included one off-topic photo taken while kayaking on the Dix River of a
snake having a tasty fish dinner.
