Could it be just Canada Goose?
The only problem is that there wasn't any flight formation, just groups of
birds flying.

This reminded me home, with a group of gulls flying at night by the docks,
illuminated by ground lights.
Is it possible to have such number of gulls already here at this time of
year?
Ring-billed Gulls? What do you think it was?
