We had 15 birders walk a 2 mile loop at the Lexington Cemetery this
morning. Highlights include 7 Warbler species including a Wilson's Warbler
and 2 Vireo species.
I enjoyed the moment of happiness but confusion we experienced when we
heard a White-breasted Nuthatch and looked up to see a Red-breasted
Nuthatch. The White-breasted Nuthatch was in the same tree but took longer
to locate.
We also added the first gull to the Lexington Cemetery list with Herring
Gull. Thanks to Tommy Quarles for getting a photo of the juvenile gull for
a positive ID.
