Kentucky Birders,
Michelle and I birded the S-Tree and Horse Lick Creek sections of the Daniel
Boone National Forest today (Jackson and Rockcastle Counties). We had our
first double digit warbler day of 2012 with 10 species [Hooded, Cerulean,
Yellow-throated, Ovenbird, Black-and-white, Redstart, Blue-winged,
Yellow-breasted Chat, Prairie and Kentucky Warblers]. We also found 4 species
of vireo, our first Scarlet Tanagers of 2012, and several Broad-winged Hawks.
For this interested in our hike write-up and pictures, here's a link:

We found several species of flowers that we could not identify and have
included some of them in the pictures. Please feel free to post comments on
the Pbase site or send me info on these species - Thanks.
