Research Associate, School of Biology, Newcastle University We require a biological modeller with expertise in simulation modelling specifically in discrete-event and/or individual-based modelling. You will in the first instance work on two BBSRC and MRC projects investigating the epidemiology of livestock and human disease, but will be expected to contribute to modelling in other settings and form part of a modelling team. You will join an expanding team of two academics and 3 PDRAs in the Biological, Clinical and Environmental Systems Modelling group in the School of Biology at Newcastle. We anticipate that you will develop your own research agenda in collaboration with other team members. Skills in R programming are essential, experience in biostatistical modelling is desirable. You will hold a PhD in some aspect of biological modelling and an appropriate publication record. This post is fixed term for 3 years.
