Travis,
If the bird was singing after dark it's possible that it was Mockingbird or
even a Yellow-breasted Chat. Both sing sometimes at night.
Or, was the call something similar to a Whip-poor will's call? If so, it might
be a Chuck will's widow.
Let us know if you figure it out.

hello all, it is now 0145 on Fairmont now and as i was laying on the couch
watching MASH, with my earbuds in, not to awake Kim who has to get up in a few
hours.. i heard a bird singing outside, i thought it was on MASH...lol so i
poped a earbud out and no it was outside.... as i stepped out on my porch it
was a really vibrant song with multiple different sounds filling the night
air...... really cool and just a lot of different, multiple sounds!! and
loud.... i herd it over the tv like i said with earbuds in!!! i have no idea
what this is.....this is the first time i have ever herd anything like that...
or may have before but never REALLY listened!! it is really cool..... so any
ideas of what i have up here?????? i got on thayers and thought a
wipperwheel... but no i really dosent sound like that... so i am
clueless!!!!!!!! lol
